AIESEC McGill 2015: The Year So Far

At AIESEC McGill, we set out at the beginning of the year to facilitate the highest quality exchanges of young people from our campus based in downtown Montreal. So far we have created over 20 opportunities for young international talent to come and work in local Montreal businesses. From these opportunities and those created last year, 9 people have been welcomed into their workplaces and our local AIESEC community. These 9 arrivals are in addition to the already thriving community of interns living in the city who are currently on their placements or who have been hired at the end of their AIESEC internship. In working with companies in the IT and marketing sectors, we hope to bring innovation and a global mindset to the Montreal business community.

In addition to bringing people to Montreal, we have also sent over 50 McGill students on internships worldwide. Whether it be professional or volunteer internships from Greece to Guatemala, this summer has been our most successful season for encouraging the development our students in new environments to challenge and develop themselves. In the fall we are excited to welcome back to campus and hear their fabulous stories from their time spent abroad.

However, the year is by no means over and we are really excited to see what the next few months have in store. In september, we will be hosting our annual Corporate event where we hope to ignite new conversations with local business in Montreal. Additionally, we are endeavouring to impact over 100 lives through exchange this year so our Local Chapter will be working hard to reach this goal.
For any enquiries about our local chapter please feel free to reach out to us via our contact page.
